I
scanned the thirty-eight year old text with a ScanMaker 6700 and used
OmniPage to convert the scans into editable text. The conversion
process is somewhat crude and does not accurately recognize all the
typed letters. So I used Notepad, StarOffice, and error-prone
comparisons
to create text documents for each original page, then copied and pasted
that text into NetObjects Fusion. I left almost all
typographical errors in place, as in the original document. This is
intended to convey the experience of the typed and mimeographed
documents. Finally, where applicable, I created tables to approximate the tabbed typewritten layouts.
