HEYWARD

This family is so interrelated to the Lynahs that in this study one begins to question whether it is a study of Lynahs or Heywards. Alarmingly, one becomes concerned as to whether the Lynahs are not more Heyward than Lynah.

	The first intermarriage is that of Thomas and Daniel to the Miles sisters. It is from this Thomas(4) that the first John Heyward Lynah got his name. Anne Cuthbert then married her second cousin Thomas Heyward (6) and finally John Heyward Lynah married his cousin Ella Louise Heyward (8). Thus there are three separate lines which finally merge to form the 9th generation of Heywards and the 6th generation of Lynahs in this country. {next page}
