Paul Hamilton married Alice Guerrard Gadsen in St. Michaels Church, Charleston, June 7, 1877. She was the only daughter of Christopher John and Cathrine Blake Guerrard Gadsen. She died in Savannah January 6, 1904.

Paul Hamiilton lived a number of years in Charleston where he was married and employed in a printing firm, He resided in Bluffton, S. C. and Savannah until his later years when he returned to Warrenton, Ga., to plant cotton.
(28) JAMES LYNAH
born 3 March 1845, Charleston died 6 August 1901, Baltimore
This James Lynah married Harriet Paullain of Georgia, but had no issue. His education at the Charleston Military Academy was interrupted by the Civil War. After serving with destinction in the Confederatacy he like many others left the plantation. He became prominent in the coal mining and shipping business in Baltimore in the firm of Lynah and Read which he formed in 1890. He eras described as fearless, upright in character, firm in convictions, and of unswerving character. He was a devoted southerner and a Democrat. Of striking personal appearance, he was strong and well built with clear piercing dark eyes. He wore a mustache but no other beard.
(29) EDWARD LYNAH
born 29 October 181.6 died 7 July 1920, Savannah
This Edward died a batchelor. His obituary states that he was a Confederate veteran and one of the most prominent and best known rice planters in South Carolina
