GLOVER
Col.
Joseph Glover was a splendid example of useful citizenship as a
churchman, lawyer, soldier, and planter. He was vestryman of the
Episcopal Church and landowner of some 5000 acres of land on the Edisto
River, in South Carolina. He was Colonel of the Colleton County
Regiment, member of the S. C. Assembly and Justice of the Peace.
His
great-granddaughter Eliza married Edward Lynah (1821-1872) and his son
Joseph married Henrietta Parker Lynah, Edward's sister and widow of
Joseph Chapman Huger.
