ROSE

Thomas Rose of Charleston, S. C., America, settled here about the year 1700. He married first 1704 Elizabeth Bennet of AKB (Accabee) plantation situated between Ashley and Cooper Rivers near Charleston. He was a physician and came from Thame in Oxfordshire and was descendant from Hugo Bennet high sheriff of Oxfordshire in the region of King Henry VI and ancestor of Lord Tenkerville.
